Weekly Sessions

Use the studio facilities at your own pace with support from our team of technicians during these bookable sessions. These sessions allow you to practise skills and develop your practice within a supportive studio environment. The session fee includes use of the full range of studio equipment, in-house slips and glazes and technical support. Wheels to be booked in advance. Clay and firing can be purchased separately at the studio.

Can I fire work that I've made at home in the studio's kilns?

Yes, by prior arrangement. For each load of work we charge a £10 handling fee and firings are charged by weight (work is weighed after firing to eliminate water content). For every 100g of work a bisque firing costs 50p, an earthenware firing costs 60p and a stoneware firing costs 70p. Contact us directly to book.

How much experience do I need to use the open access sessions?

We ask that you are confident and self sufficient enough to work on your chosen project without the need for tuition. The sessions are supported by a technician who can guide you with best use of the studio equipment. The shared environment creates a supportive atmosphere where skills and techniques are often improved upon through discussion with other studio users.
